Event History - Very familiar with what’s needed to organize an event in places like public parks, local youth centers, and even on the side of the mountain! Maximum effort to do WHATEVER is needed for the kids - any all times. I’ve been hosting, coordinating, setting up and breaking down events since I was a child. My family had a 10-year span before my mother passed away where we raised $250,000 for Breast Cancer Research. Every year we hosted silent auctions, wine-tastings, and a 5k walk - among other things!
These days - I captured photos, videos, and provided on-snow support working with an amazing group, Slide Thru Sessions at Keystone (Reverend Quincy Shannon - quincy_shannon@yahoo.com).
Last 2 years - BreakThrough T1D + local youth groups to host Tie-dye parties with kids living with diabetes. I’ve got experience with screen printing tutorials, group paint events & canvas art collaborations. (Raising $10k for Diabetes research in 2022 selling shirts with my designs and three large canvas.) Moving to Denver was so I could persue my dreams of settling down in the front range - an avid snowboard enthusiast from the east coast, this will be my 25th year on the mountain. Last year I was fortunate and privileged to join Slide Thru Sessions at Keystone for three individual days. Truly some of my favorite days I’ve ever had on the mountain and we never left the bunny-slope.
My name is Matt and I’m a local photographer and videographer! I’ve got many years working with kids at camps - as a volunteer recently with SkiNoir 5280, for the last 8 years as a snowboard coach for Riding on Insulin, and Camp Director of Camp Surefire from 2003-2008.
